Barcud Lodge is a large detached, architect-designed, modern house which nestles in the popular village of Llangennith. This is the perfect family and friends homestay whatever the season. The tastefully appointed living space is on the first floor which creates a contemporary modern feel and allows you to take full advantage of the beautiful views of the bay. The Lodge is only a mile from the popular Llangennith beach and just a stone's throw away from the local pub which serves traditional home cooked food and offers a genuine, warm welcome.
Accommodation:
Ground Floor: large stone entrance porch (4 steps), reception hall, master bedroom with en suite with step-in shower cubicle, and a further two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath with a separate shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC.
First Floor: The galleried dining area is located in a central position on the first floor and has an oak dining table and chairs for ten and access to the main light filled lounge, through double oak doors. The lounge has a large picture window with spectacular views, and a feature stone fireplace, a three-piece leather suite and TV and DVD player. The dining area also leads to the kitchen - breakfast room with oak carpentry, granite work tops and integrated appliances including an under-the-counter fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a four-ring hob with oven below; the kitchen also includes a microwave. There is a breakfast bar and 4 stools. The spacious utility room includes a tumble dryer, washing machine and second fridge. Separate WC.
External: There is a gated large driveway with ample parking, with use of part of the garage for storage of bikes/ surfboards etc. There is a rear lawned garden and has outdoor furniture for eight people. Charcoal Barbecue in the garage.
Sleeps 8: 3 double, 1 twin
C/O - day Sat. Gas (LPG) CH. Bed linen and towels provided. Parking for several cars. Stairgate (for 1st floor), travel cot and highchair available . One small pet accepted. Free internet access up to 2GB. No smoking. O2 preferred network coverage.
