From £18 pppn - The owner of this property is running a very exciting and fun competition with a great prize for the winner (see below the property description for more details).
This 2 bedroom Fisherman's cottage is located in the original and oldest part of Mumbles (next to Ref 122). It has wonderful views across the bay from the large terraced decking area to the rear, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The Mumbles sea front promenade hosting many attractions and activities throughout the year, is approximately 75 metres down the lane, whilst a 10 minute walk from the cottage to the top of the lane and across a field short-cuts the visitor directly onto the Gower Coastal Path and its expansive views. Langland is the first bay you encounter on this route.
The vibrant centre of Mumbles with its many cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutiques is a short stroll away. There are several ice cream parlors that should be on the 'must visit' checklist including Joes and Verdi's.
Accommodation: Ground Floor - Open plan lounge/diner/kitchen. The lounge area has 2 two seat sofas (one of which can convert into a sofa bed), TV with freeview/DVD and flame gas fire. There is a step up into the dining area which has table and chairs for 4 people and access into the kitchen area.
The fitted kitchen has a washing machine, electric oven and 4-ring gas hob, microwave and fridge. There are 3 further steps into the luxury bathroom. The fully-tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and basin. The rear door leads into the recently refurbished garden with steps up to a large decking area that has stunning views towards Oystermouth Castle and across Swansea Bay
First floor - There are 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 with bunk beds.
Exterior - There are superb views across the bay from the rear terrace. The terrace has garden furniture for 4 people.

******CREATIVE CONTRIBUTIONS COMPETITION******
1st PRIZE: 30% off next year or "upgrade" (transferable to friends if you like)
The text below has been provided by the owner of the cottage
ALL ENTRANTS: Get a tin of laver bread or something silly at Christmas
How to enter:
" Make, draw, write, photograph or invent something creative or artistic - make your own mind up about what to do
" Photograph it on a digital camera and email it, or send it direct to us or leave it in the folder at the property"
" Include your own contact details in case you win"
Judging:
No real rules about criteria, it's just a bit of fun. I will judge entries over the Christmas / New Year break each year. If you have already re-booked your holiday at the full price, don't worry, we will sort out the discount anyway.
Fun entries:
" Original ideas are just as likely to win as serious skills. E.g. One entry from January this year was "Take-away Beach". This consisted of a flan dish with some sand and pebbles in it, half-filled with water, an aluminium-foil fish and a little swimmer made of matchsticks. This had adorned the lounge apparently, for 4 days before being photographed and emailed to us as an entry. Excellent! And glad the flan dish didn't break! Children's entries especially welcome?
Artistic entries:
" If you want to keep your original drawing or painting, poem or whatever, then keep it. Just photograph it on a digital camera as best you can, or scan it, then email it to us. This is on condition that you don't mind us showing it off in one of the folders next year, or even printing off the email and framing it. Of course, you can leave the original at the cottage if you wish. Some early 2011 entries are shown here. And yes, you can send in more than one entry - but no, you won't get more than one prize!
Cheers!
