Hidden away behind the promenade in the older part of Mumbles Village is a unique holiday cottage brimming with very special features including a Sauna and a Summer Cabin.
The white painted floorboards and paneled walls combined with blue soft furnishings give this property a distinctive nautical theme. This combined with the tranquil setting and fantastic views over the roof tops and out to sea make a perfect setting for a real holiday adventure.
From the property there is access to a nature reserve which leads on to Mumbles Hill where you can enjoy spectacular views over the bay. Worth noting are the 57 steps up to the property which may not be suitable for everyone.
Accommodation: Door leads into open plan living space with dining space at one end and soft seating at the other. The dining table seats 6 comfortably and is positioned in front of a window with views out to sea. At the far end is the lounge area with two white sofas, a coffee table, a small working open fire, and further sea views from the window. There is a music system with radio, tape and CD and a TV with Free view and DVD. In the centre of the room a steep stairwell leads down to the bedrooms and bathroom.
From the dining area there is an archway leading to a simple and functional kitchen with some fitted units and a window with the same lovely sea views. The kitchen has an electric cooker with oven under, a freestanding fridge freezer, a microwave, 3 stacking stools and a small child's stool.
The bedrooms are downstairs: a double, a bunk bedroom and a single. They are all simply furnished and have storage and hanging space. All bedrooms feature a door with access onto a deck which has patio furniture and lovely sea views. The bathroom has a basic white suite with shower over the bath. The hall cupboard houses the top loading washing machine
Outside
From the gate there is a small lawn with patio furniture. This leads onto the patio directly outside the front door - a mix of flagstones and decorative brick work with a simple brick built BBQ. Beyond the patio is decking with steps leading to the first cabin, which houses the sauna and some fairly narrow steps leading down to alternative access and also to the rear deck.
The sauna cabin also has a shower cubicle with electric shower and a WC. Further decking and 12 steps lead up to the Summer Cabin (see note below) which has veranda with outdoor heating, lighting and further garden furniture. Inside the cabin is a generous living space with two sets of full size bunk beds, a table and chairs for four, a portable TV with Free view, a tiny fridge, and a kettle. The perfect adventure for kids!
